We’ve been tracking Albany, NY’s Laveda since their debut single “Dream.Sleep” last year, through the followups “Better Now” and “If Only”. The dream pop duo (Ali Genevich and Jake Brooks) is bursting with news, upgrading to a quartet with two new members last fall, (Joe Taurone and Dan Paoletti), and embarking on their current tour that culminates in Austin, TX at SXSW ’20. The following month will see the release of their debut full-length, What Happens After, out 4/24 on SF-based Color Station.

“Ghost” is the new single, and the building block of the whole album. “It was the song that invented our sound” says Ali. “If we had never written it, I don’t think the rest of the record would sound the way that it does. It felt obvious and just right to make it the first track on the LP because it laid the foundation for all our other songs”.
