PICTURE THIS: Zee Avi @ The Independent, 10/13/11

Zee Avi is touring in support of her new album, Ghostbird (or owl, translated from “Burung Hantu” in Malaysian, her native language). Her set at The Independent was well attended, but it must have been date-night judging from the amount of couples in the crowd.

Beyond the usual assortment of instruments played, the fans were treated to a ukulele, a kazoo, a sape, and all kinds of percussion.

    Incredible concert. So fun watching Zee's fortunes rise, as well as her amazing talent.
