FROM THE NEWS NEST: KCRW’s Are Friends Eclectic Holiday Shows

LA’s favorite public radio station, KCRW, is gifting SoCal with a set of Holiday Benefit shows at the intimate Orpheum Theatre in downtown LA to kick off the season. The station has put together a delightfully eclectic list of up-and-coming acts and musical favorites, sure to deck your halls with good tidings, holiday cheer, and all that jazz.

“Are Friends Eclectic?” night one (December 2) features reggae legend Jimmy Cliff along with Brett Dennan, Fool’s Gold, White Denim, Other Lives, and Mia Doi Todd. Folk-rock favorites, Iron and Wine headline night two (December 3) which includes LA’s The Belle Brigade, Anna Calvi, The Secret Sisters, and Zee Avi.

Proceeds from the shows will support the KCRW’s continued musical magic and public programming. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, October 4th to members and on Tuesday, October 11th to the general public and range from $55 to $200. Join KCRW to ensure that you get tickets early, as they’re sure to sell out fast.

I have learned some new issues from your website about desktops. Another thing I’ve always thought is that laptop computers have become a product that each house must have for several reasons. They supply you with convenient ways to organize households, pay bills, search for information, study, focus on music and also watch tv programs. An innovative technique to complete every one of these tasks is by using a mobile computer. These computers are portable ones, small, powerful and lightweight.
