The 20th Anniversary of San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival kicks off on Thursday, February 16th with a night at the museum. In partnership with Noise Pop and in honor of SF Beer Week, the California Academy of Sciences will play host to Class Actress in the next installment of “NightLife.” Class Actress frontwoman Elizabeth Harper has vocals that ooze with sultry sweetness and a touch of quirkiness. “Weekend” is the catchy track off of Rapprocher, the band’s debut album, with its soft electro-generated beats and foot-stomping bass lines. Between Class Actress, Noise Pop, SF Beer Week, and awesome exhibits at the California Academy of Sciences, is there a better way to bring on the weekend and the start of the Noise Pop Festival? We don’t think so either. We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to this event to one lucky person. Just leave us a comment telling us your favorite way to kick off an event-filled weekend for your chance to win. Contest ends 2/14.

My favorite thing to do to kick off an event filled weekend is to of course make a playlist matching whatever event I am heading to. Class Actress has been on my playlist ever since I heard "Journal of Ardency!"
I map things out, where will I plan to be, who am I inviting, what is set on the playlist – always keeping openings for spontaneity and the freedom to meet, dance, listen and celebrate with vibrant souls…
Drugs.
I always stretch before an event-filled weekend. It would be a shame to injure oneself during the fun-filled activities.
1. Grab my honies and monies
2. Safely pedal my way to my first destination — food within a skippable radius of the event!
3. Eat, be merry, with loved ones
4. Play and enjoy the talents of performers, artists, motivators
5. Snack (gelato, crepes, boba, coffee, tea)
6. Amble home for le sexy time with my main honey
7. Sleep, shower, repeat 1-8.
