YOU GOTTA SEE THIS: “Daddy Bear” by Work Drugs

February 21. 2012 | By Andre Cruz

Philadelphia’s own Work Drugs, have unveiled the video for their latest single “Daddy Bear” from the album Aurora Lies. Work Drugs who consists of Benjamin Louisiana and Thomas Crystal describe their music as “sedative wave/smooth-fi.” Comparisons to Ariel Pink seem unavoidable, which is not a bad thing in my book. The video is very entertaining. It has a late ’70s/disco era feel to it. Footage from Studio 54, “The Hunt For Red October,” “Running Scared,” and other strange commercials from the ’80s were used in the video. The video also stays true to the track name and features a few iconic bears, even a breakdancing one!
