TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 12/31/2020 Edition

December 31. 2020 | By Wayne Jessup

Welcome to the final Tracks of the Week for 2020. Clementine Creevy continues moving the needle on just what the sound of Cherry Glazerr can be, as evidenced on new single on Secretly Canadian. Oakland-based Absent City have released a new video for “Inner World”, from their October full-length Continue Normal Living, on Homing Instinct Records.

In a year that saw us constantly reaching for the third Velvet Underground LP and the Galaxie 500 catalogue, the finest thing we can say about Cindy’s Free Advice is that it fit the vibe seamlessly. You can find it on Mt. St. Mtn domestically, Tough Love Records in the UK, or on cassette from Paisley Shirt Records.

LA’s Egg Drop Soup unleashed their new video for “Swamp Ass”, your introduction to/warning of their just-released LP Eat Snacks and Bleed. Taking us out of 2020, and looking forward to the next, we’ll touch base with London’s Breakup Haircut, newly signed to The Reckless Yes. As a taste of what to expect, here’s “Why Can’t I Be Cool Enough To Move To Berlin?” from their 2019 EP What Did You Expect? I Got It Off The Internet!
