HEAR THIS: Neverever

January 26. 2012 | By Jennifer Shields

Neverever is a pleasant blend of power-pop innocence and experience. Sweet, yet smart; it’s hard not to be enchanted by the vintage girly vocals and skilled guitar riffs immediately. It’s not all rainbows and unicorns with this band though. Through some controversial theories of their origin and also the mysterious influences they cite on Facebook, (leather interiors, sweaty palms, sunsets) the confusion might have you scratching your head. Never fear; just press play and lead singer Jihae Meeks will use her precious vocals to whisk you away into the land of it-doesn’t-matter-anyway. Their latest release Shake-a-baby is hot off the press and ready for you to pamper your earholes. Catch them at the Bootleg Theatre in LA on February 25th and check out “Wedding Day” here:
