While this little Owl was expecting a high energy rock show, she had no idea what laid ahead of her at the Constellation Room on Friday night. It’s fair to say that Toronto’s young grunge dudes METZ are born to melt faces – and melt faces they did.
Still, nothing could prepare the crowd enough for what was in store when hardcore punk group Ceremony took the stage. To say the least, Ceremony’s show was heavily interactive, crowd surfers and stage divers dominating the stage.
The New Jersey boys of Titus Andronicus held their own, even after the high bar set by their support. Punctuated with harmonica jamming and cheeky between-song babbling, Titus Andronicus provided a killer start to the long weekend.
