YOU GOTTA SEE THIS: “The Shrine / An Argument” by Fleet Foxes

Sean Pecknold (yep, Robin’s brother) directed this lovely animated film for Fleet Foxes’ “The Shrine/An Argument,” one of the most compelling tracks on hit album Helplessness Blues. The video feels a bit like Where the Wild Things Are–which, frankly, isn’t a bad thing. It follows the emotional twists and turns of the song itself, even adjusting hues as the story moves along. The film is a work of art in its own right, but I couldn’t imagine a better accompaniment to Fleet Foxes’ epic tune.
