PICTURE THIS: Walk Off The Earth + The Mowgli’s @ Slim’s, SF 6/15/12

June 18. 2012 | By Kelley Bennett

Despite playing another sold-out show mere hours beforehand, Walk Off The Earth were hyper-energetic at Slim’s this past Friday night. Utilizing nearly every instrument from kazoo to ukelele to theramin while still playing with impossible animation and stamina (seriously, we were exhausted just watching them), the band’s performance was nothing short of impressive. Opening act The Mowgli’s were just as lively, with all eight musicians jumping, dancing, and occasionally crashing into one another while still all delivering a worthy performance — ending with what better song than the incredibly catchy “San Francisco,” off their debut album Sound the Drum.
