LA’s Hunter Hunted have only been together since January, but in that time they’ve played with Weezer, fun., and Fitz And The Tantrums. The duo, Dan Chang and Michael Gardner, craft indie pop songs worthy of such big time attention, with dreamy melodies built on top of driving backbeats. Their self-titled debut EP is a winner from start to finish: “End Of The World” manages to make armageddon sound like a good place to fall in love, while “Dora Maar” reaches triumphant heights of vocal ecstasy. “Keep Together” pounds the hardest, with catchy verses that flirt with dance rock.
