San Francisco was one of ten cities picked for Graham Coxon‘s rare solo tour. Although he is most known for being in Blur, he has several solo albums that include the soundtrack to Netflix’s The End of the F***ing World. Over the years of solo performances he has gained confidence and shined far beyond his former much shyer self. He obliged random commentary from the crowd with grace, even with shouts from a heckler “COFFEE & TV”. And to that guy…seriously dude…that’s just embarrassing. He played tracks that spanned his catalogue from as early as his first record The Sky is Too High to as recent as unreleased material. Coxon even did a Blur “cover” as he called it, of Miss America. We hope to see more great performances from him in the near future.

Travis Hayes @ August Hall, SF 9/30/18

Local boy, Travis Hayes opened the evening. As a running theme, Hayes also left his band behind and played a stellar set acoustic set. His second full-length, Sleepless is set to be out in the coming months.
