So Cal Natives Matt Costa, Hindu Pirates, and The Blank Tapes played a packed show on Saturday at The Observatory.

Blank Tapes warmed up the crowd. When Hindu Pirates took the stage, the crowd went wild with crowd surfers. None of them actually made it to the barrier; they just fell right to the ground, but it didn’t stop them from trying.

After an energetic set it was time for Matt Costa to take the stage. Instead of going straight to his guitar he sat at his keyboard and opened up with “Mr. Pitiful.” Throughout the night he played more favorites and the crowd sang along with him. He told stories and even walked through the venue while playing “Miss Magnolia.” At the end of the show he threw his harmonica and tambourine and some lucky fans walked away with memorable souvenirs.
