June 27. 2019 | By Wayne Jessup

This week at the Nest, we’re delighted to share the return of Vagabon. Laetitia Tamko is back with “Flood Hands”, our first look at new LP All The Woman In Me, out 9/27 via Nonesuch. Catch her at the Pico Union Project in LA on 10/17 for a special show. The subsequent tour will bring her back this way in December, including a 12/7 date at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Still riding high off of the latest Feels release, Shannon Lay is not messing around. “Nowhere” is from her forthcoming Sub Pop LP August, conveniently due out 8/23. Get an early preview on 6/30 at the Echo in LA.

We’re super excited about “Superbike”, from Jay Som’s just announced Anak Ko, out 8/23 on Lucky Number/Polyvinyl. Catch her at Pitchfork Fest this summer in Chicago. Post LP-release shows out here include 9/13 at the Echoplex, LA and 9/14 at the Fillmore, SF. “Young Enough” is the title track of the latest Charly Bliss LP, released in May on Barsuk Records. Tonight, (6/27), you can find them at the Lodge Room in LA, or down the freeway in Anaheim on 6/28 at Chain Reaction.

Closing out this week, the latest from LA trio Pinky Pinky is Turkey Dinner, released 6/14 on Innovative Leisure. “My Friend Sean” has been getting the spins here. For the live Pinky Pinky experience, they’ll be in the Bay Area, or adjacent, with upcoming shows 8/7 at Cafe Du Nord/Swedish American Music Hall, SF and/or 8/17 at Flynn’s Cabaret & Steakhouse, Felton, CA.
