FROM THE NEWS NEST: West Coast Tour Dates Added to The Revival Tour 2012
In addition to the recently announced tour dates, some highly-anticipated West Coast shows as well as a couple other dates have been added to The Revival Tour 2012. For those unfamiliar with The Revival Tour, here’s a quick history lesson: The Revival Tour, an acoustic and collaborative event, was created and organized by singer-songwriter Chuck Ragan in 2008 to bring together the rich folk tradition of giving and openness along with the desire to share a story and make music with friends.
Along with Ragan, Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio, The Emergency Room), longtime Lucero collaborator Cory Branan, Tommy Gabel (Against Me!), and renowned singer/songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff come together to collaborate, jam, and have some fun. As I am sure you can imagine, when a group of musicians like this comes together to play an all-acoustic, collaborative live show, there is inspiration abound and unbelievably unique moments in music happening on a nightly basis.
The Phoenix New Times called The Revival Tour “punk rock’s answer to The Traveling Wilburys.” The Revival Tour 2012 hits the West Coast – starting in Seattle, WA at El Corazon on April 15 and ending their tour in San Francisco, CA at Slim’s on April 21.
