TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 9/12/19 Edition

“Be All Things” is the first shot from the new Chelsea Wolfe LP Birth of Violence, out 9/13 on Sargent House. Catch her at Amoeba, SF for a special acoustic set and signing on 9/17 @ 6pm. We first encountered “Not” as an intense acoustic affair on Adrianne Lenker’s solo tour. Big Thief unleashes their inner Crazy Horse to transform the tune, coming up with a potential song of the year. Their 2nd LP of 2019, Two Hands, is due out 10/11 via Saddle Creek. On 10/29, they’ll be at the Fox Theatre, Oakland.

Devin McKnight (Grass Is Green/Speedy Ortiz) is Maneka, and new LP Devin is out now on Exploding In Sound. “Never Nowhere” is our jam of choice. Toronto’s Poor You are back with a new single, “Everything in the Wind”, that builds off the promise of last year’s Lucky To Be Here EP. Finally, as we started, so shall we end… Oslo’s Jenny Hval is back with “High Alice”, our first look at new LP The Practice of Love, out 9/13 on Sacred Bones.
