FREE TICKETS: Dum Dum Girls, Tamaryn, Young Prisms @ Slim’s, SF 5/22/12

May 16. 2012 | By Collin Welbon

There are emotions that only seem to be best expressed through some form of art. In the case of Dum Dum Girls and their newest album Only in Dreams, front woman Dee Dee took the emotions and pain from her mother’s diagnosis of and dying from brain cancer and wrote some of her darkest yet most discernible songs. Throughout the creation of Only in Dreams, Dee Dee, who used to (for the most part) roll solo when it came to making music, united with the three other ladies in black to create a more focused, cleaner but still dreamy rock ‘n roll sound. We have a pair of tickets to give away to Dum Dum Girls’ show at Slim’s in San Francisco on Tuesday, May 22nd.

Also playing at Slim’s that night is New Zealand born vocalist Tamaryn and San Francisco-based band Young Prisms.

For your chance to win a FREE pair of tickets to see all three acts kick out the jams at Slim’s, just drop us a comment telling us who influences your life, art or music. Contest ends on 05/21/12.
