The back room at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles really is an eloquent spot with its weathered brick walls, cement floor, tables for two, and even a dozen rows of velvet seating for those that prefer to cozy it up while while taking in some live music. It seemed a fitting location for Memoryhouse, who are now on tour to promote their debut full-length release The Slideshow Effect, out on Sub Pop Records. The Canadian duo opted out of SXSW this year and instead chose to entertain fans in Los Angeles and we were happy to be amongst the crowd on a chilly March night.
