Annie Dressner
East Twenties
[Self Released]

Annie Dressner is following up her critically acclaimed debut Strangers Who Knew Each Other”s Names with this sweet little EP, East Twenties. The title is a nod to New York,

her hometown, although no longer her home as she resides in the UK for love. The singer/songwriter is realeasing the EP due to her successful Pledge campaign for funds.

It opens with “Heartbreaker,” a spare melancholy reminiscence of a love gone by. “I Can”t Forget” features Jo Silverstein (of Red Clay Halo), her cello framing the sad tale of love and death. Paul Goodwin, who also shares production credit, also supports with keys, bass, and mandolin. The mandolin really shines on “Flame,” the zippiest song on the album, tells of teenage love and angst. Fans

of Belle & Sebastian (of whom Annie is an admitted fan), Camera Obscura, and pretty much any other singer songwriter that can fall into the indie/folk genre will adore this album. We are all budgeting out our future Pledge donation amounts to get us more of the music we have come to adore.
