FROM THE NEWS NEST: Limited Fanfare Records Hosting an Online Charity Auction

May 28. 2012 | By Collin Welbon

Limited Fanfare Records, the Miami, Florida-based independent rock label, is taking action to save lives by hosting an online charity auction from June 19th-25th with 100% of the proceeds going to Music Saves Lives. Music Saves Lives is an organization with a mission to educate people about important life-saving causes by using all forms of music and entertainment to motivate people and get the message out to the masses.

As much as everyone loves holding up bidder cards and listening to an annoying auctioneer bark out indecipherable prices, this online auction will feature rare and signed items from bands such as Mastodon, Dinosaur Jr., The Ettes, Sleigh Bells, Black Lips, Train, Battles, Ladytron, Sebadoh, and many more. It’s not every day that the reward for helping save lives is cool rarities and autographed stuff from some stellar indie bands, so check out the Limited Fanfare Records’ online auction at http://www.limitedfanfare.com/charity.

Here’s what Russel Hornbeek, founder of Music Saves Lives, had to say about the upcoming online auction: “Music Saves Lives has a mission that truly affects lives. It’s groups like Limited Fanfare Records that are instrumental in keeping Music Saves Lives on track and reaching the thousands out on tours and through bands. Your support is so needed and is so appreciated. Thank You, from all the MSL staff and the lives you will directly save.”
