PICTURE THIS: The Mowgli’s @ The Roxy, LA 5/8/12

Trick question: How many Mowgli’s are there? 3? 8? 17? 32? If you said eight you’d be correct, but after experiencing the Los Angeles band play for their CD release party at The Roxy on Tuesday night you might have left the venue scratching your chin. The Mowgli’s have just released their debut full-length, Sound the Drum and as a part of their show they invited every individual that had any involvement in the making of the album to join in the daisy love-fest on stage. At one point we counted a total of 19 bodies on stage, some with instruments, some without, some with shoes, some without, but all with smiles as wide as the cheshire cat. The Mowgli’s poured a healthy dose of love at The Roxy Tuesday night, maybe even a little too much. We woke with happy hang-overs the next morning–that’s not a bad thing.
