LIVE PREVIEW: JEANINES

December 01. 2019 | By Wayne Jessup

Jeanines self-titled full-length debut on Slumberland has been a recurring pick at The Nest throughout the year, the very definition of a grower. The Brooklyn outfit shows great comfort with the jangle, as evidenced on “Where We Go”, “Where I Stand”, and “Winter In The Dark”. “In This House” is peak Jeanines, packing a sly emotional punch behind the guitar gallop, and you might remember “Either Way” from an April edition of Tracks of the Week.

Sound the show klaxon, Jeanines are headed out west to ring in the New Year with Business of Dreams, who have a brand new single out, “Will You Still Love Me In December”, proceeds of which will go to the National Domestic Violence Hotline. Upcoming dates include: Love Song Bar (LA) on 1/5, Starline Social Club (Oakland) on 1/8, and the Rickshaw Stop (SF) on 1/9, before continuing on to Portland and Seattle.
