From the doors of Fort Apache to the Pioneer Valley to Route 28, there’s something about Massachusetts and idiosyncratic guitar outfits. Boston trio Horse Jumper Of Love carry on the legacy with a brand new video for “John Song”, bringing it to life in exquisite 16mm, directed & edited by Brittany Reeber, with cinematography by Adam Kolodny.

Horse Jumper Of Love’s second LP So Divine came out last summer on Run For Cover Records, and it deftly avoids easy comparisons, but setting your coordinates for a sweet spot between Bonny Doon and Slint will give you an idea of the terrain. Our highlights include “Volcano”, “Ur Real Life”, and “Stray Dog”. Suffice to say, it’s a grower that will get its hooks into you. Next week, the band will be on tour in the South and Southwest, dates below.
