PICTURE THIS: The Generationals, Races, Francisco the Man @ The Echo, LA 11/14/12

The last time we caught The Generationals, they were opening for Mates of State, but this time around they packed the small but mighty Echo with fans there just for them. Core members Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer continue to anchor the band. With tunes off their newly minted Lucky Numbers EP, The Generationals’ slight shift to a crisper synthpop vibe was well-received. Los Angeles’ own Races was also greeted with a warm welcome. Biggest surprise of the night goes to opener Francisco the Man who really hit a sweet spot between noise and pop.
