“The Great Outdoors” calls to our youth to days gone by. Where have those carefree days of play gone? Director Matt Houghton pulls us along for a ride as we follow an old man taking his box to an unknown destination. James Ewers’, (aka Lonesound) newest single, “The Great Outdoors,” echoes with nostalgia and a longing chant for something more. This is matched with love by the director’s affectionate treatment of this old man’s journey. The song is part of a 4 song EP, The Great Outdoors (Part 1), which is the first of 3 EPs leading up to his full album in early 2013. The Great Outdoors (Part 1) is out now.
