YOU GOTTA SEE THIS: “Connection” by Dreamers of the Ghetto

Does anyone see the name Dreamers of the Ghetto and expect a band from Bloomington, Indiana led by a man with a master’s degree in Sting? Once one puts misconceptions aside, some lovely would-be arena rock ensues. It’s a lot easier to picture millions of concertgoers waving lighters while singing “when you’re gone I know you’re with me” than it is to read the group’s name without picturing an emo-hop collective. The bare bones video is all swaying and sincerity, anchored by longing looks of band-mates in love and that stadium-ready hook.
