This creative video from cirKus—Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack’s Cameron McVey—features a series of hand-drawn characters going through all the painful motions of humanity. Faceless men are literally stuck in the cogs of existence, and have every manner of harm done to them: machines hang them from hooks, punch them in the groin and even push an assembly line of people down the stairs. Meanwhile, select lyrics from “Bells” flash upon the screen, further emphasizing the damages we inflict on ourselves through our societal forgetfulness.
