TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 9/30/2021 Edition

Welcome back to another Tracks, kicking off with the English duo Wet Leg. Hot on the heels of their breakout debut “Chaise Lounge”, they’re back with their second single “Wet Dream”, out now on Domino Records. Toronto’s Guard Petal is the project of Julia Noel, (Poor You), making a grand entrance with the effervescent debut track “Body Heat”.

Ramona Gonzalez, aka: Nite Jewel, is one of LA’s hidden treasures, channeling more than a decade in the trenches of the DIY dance scene, the end of a long marriage, and her Ph.D. research, (on women’s musical lament processes), into the spellbinding new LP No Sun, out now on her own Gloriette Records label. “Before I Go” sets the tone with a dynamic sense of space.

Gothenburg, Sweden is our final destination this week, closing with the glorious return of Nest favorites Makthaverskan. The soaring “This Time” is from their forthcoming album För Allting, due out 11/12 on Run For Cover Records.
