TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 9/3/20 Edition

September 03. 2020 | By Wayne Jessup

Welcome back to Tracks of the Week, kicking off this time with “Leave Me In The Tide” by R.E. Seraphin, the new video from A Room Forever EP, all proceeds of which go to support People’s Breakfast Oakland. Already blessing us with a bounty of jangly goodness, the digital-only EP follows closely on the heels of the full-length Tiny Shapes.

L.A. Witch is back with “Fire Starter” from their new LP Play With Fire, just released on Suicide Squeeze. Mark your calendars for 9/10, as the band will hit the stage for the first time since January, taking over Gold Diggers to stream their album release celebration, presented by DICE. “Hail Taxi” is the latest blast from Toronto’s mighty METZ, previewing their forthcoming LP Atlas Vending, out 10.9 on Sub Pop.

Barcelona’s Mourn have announced their new LP Self Worth, due out 10/30 on Captured Tracks over here and Subterfuge Records at home. The first single is “This Feeling Is Disgusting”. Winding up this week’s action, “The Iron Chair “ is an epic from Sumac, from their new album May You Be Held, out 9/18 on Thrill Jockey.
