May 21. 2020 | By Wayne Jessup

Sasami Ashworth is back with a new single “Mess”, marking the end of the touring cycle for her self-titled debut from last year, and paving the way for something new. While not currently on the road, you can still catch her live magic on last weekend’s livestream, courtesy of Le Blogotheque.

Ellen Kempner has a new single out as Palehound on Polyvinyl. The slow burning “See A Light” joins previous “Your Boyfriend’s Gun” as followups to last year’s Black Friday LP. From Bristol, UK, now based in Olympia, WA, Erica Freas is back with her third LP Young, out now on Specialist Subject Records worldwide, self-released domestically.

Been getting a lot of quality Nest time in with the Drab City debut LP Good Songs For Bad People, out 6/12 on Bella Union. “Troubled Girl” is a hypnotic salvo from the UK crew. Bringing things to a close this week, it’s Philly’s own Fire In The Radio with “Tulare”, off of their April release Monuments, out on Wednesday Records.
