April 22. 2021 | By Wayne Jessup

This week’s Tracks gets off to a sharp start with “Everything You Wanted”, the hypnotic new single from COMPLTR, with the one-time bedroom project now a full-blown band. Plastic Pompeii is the debut LP from Cincinnati outfit The Mimes, and “Knob” is the latest in a captivating string of singles. Heinous Oaf Records has done the honors on a cassette version, while the vinyl edition is forthcoming from Let’s Pretend Records.

Oakland dark wave duo Yama Uba, featuring members of Ötzi, have unleashed “Phantom World”, their second single, following up “Angel”, from the 2018 Sacred Spells compilation. This Saturday you can catch Yama Uba live as part of the 14-hour Club Seance livestream to benefit Bay Area Asian communities. Take an adventure with djchatnoir on Twitch.

French dream poppers Fleur Bleu.e finish up this edition with their second single “STOLT 89”, a glowing successor to their November debut and Nest favorite “Horizon”.
