FROM THE NEWS NEST: Goldenvoice To Host A New Music Festival In Orange County

Goldenvoice, the well-known promoters of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and the city of Irvine are putting the final touches on a contract which will allow Goldenvoice to stage a multi-day music festival at Orange County Great Park as early as 2013. Officials say the first music festival at Orange County Great Park could draw more than 150,000 people.

Although the city of Irvine and Goldenvoice seem to be in the final stages of working out a contract, there is currently no official talk of what the music festival will entail. Goldenvoice President Paul Tollett did let fans know that the new festival in the OC will not be another Coachella, but he did not allude to any alternative plans. There has also been talk of the festival being alcohol-free, but that just seems ridiculous. Makes a person wonder… What does Goldenvoice have planned for OC festival-goers?
