TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 12/24/2020 Edition

Welcome back to another Tracks, the next to last of this blessed year of 2020. We’ll kick off with SF trio 7-11 Jesus. “Tried So Hard” is the opening salvo from their new LP Tree Dream, due 2/12/21 on Animal Testing Records. Saying goodbye to the Bay Area, the band: Emma, August, and Kieran, should be safely resettled in Boston by the album’s release.

Also marking out February 12th as a release day to be reckoned with, Australia’s Luca Brasi is back with “Every Time You’re Here (I’m Gone)”, from their forthcoming LP Everything Is Tenuous, out via Cooking Vinyl Australia. Brooklyn’s Claud made waves with the Gay and Bored EP earlier this year. “Soft Spot”is the latest single, setting the table for debut LP Super Monster, which, (of course), will be out 2/12/21.

NYC’s Palberta is back with their winning combination of enchanting harmonies and thorny guitar on “The Way That You Do”, foreshadowing their new LP Palberta 5000, due out January 21st on Wharf Cat Records. Finishing off this go-round back in LA, “Super Sane” is the kinetic new single from Slugs, following up their “Dum Luk”single from earlier this year, and 2018’s Cool World EP.
