TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 10/22/2020 Edition

October 22. 2020 | By Wayne Jessup

LA’s Dummy returns with their second EP of noisy goodness this year called… you guessed it: EP2, out 11/6, and available on cassette via Born Yesterday Records. “Pool Dizzy” lives fully up to its name, and to say we’re obsessed would be an understatement. Chicago duo Ohmme up the ante with their new single “Mine”, their contribution to the Sub Pop Singles Club, and a quick follow up to their June release Fantasize Your Ghost on Joyful Noise Records.

“Take Your Time” is the latest glimpse inside the forthcoming Pearl Charles LP Magic Mirror, due out 1/8/21 on Kanine Records. Montreal’s Helena Deland has turned a few years of paying dues into a stunning debut LP, Someone New, out now on Luminelle Recordings. “Comfort, Edge” is a proper entree. Flying their freak flag in NYC, our beloved Slut Magic has released a new single, “Salsa Red”, with their sophomore LP Trauma Queen, following just around the corner on 10/30.
