The Midwest Indies is four-piece indie-folk band that hails from Springfield. Really, Springfield? A generic sound from a generic town? Guess again.

Lead singer Brad Thomas has traces of Isaac Slade (The Fray) in his gritty but soothing voice. The band’s Mumford & Sons instrumental set-up coupled with their Local Natives styled knack for harmonies is a winning combination. “If You Can’t Convince Them, Confuse Them” makes us dance to the tambourine like we’re at a hoedown. No confusion necessary – we’re fully convinced that The Midwest Indies will soon take the whole US of A by storm.

Get you feet stomping’ in time with the kick drum. Lose yourself in Tanner Brown’s banjo. Channel your inner Ozarkian. What are you waiting for?
