Yearning for some ’50s nostalgia? Look no further than the old-school bubblegum pop of Brooklyn’s PEP. The sextet specializes in updated girl group tunes, perfect for dancing around your bedroom à la Grease. The band began as the solo project of Karys Rhea, the Starlight Girls drummer who found herself inspired after hearing “Runaround Sue” in a store.

The sassy frontwoman wrangled up a full ensemble (complete with backup singers) and released the My Baby and Me EP in December. Listen to the EP or grab it on vinyl HERE, and sample PEP’s charmingly saccharine sound below.
