Wednesday night Hotel Utah saw Denver based Confluence bring their groove based math rock to the stage, with Fresno’s Light Thieves perfectly ending the night with some hard hitting rhythms. Confluence have barely been together for over a year but already have a solid sound that mixes intricate instrumentation with emotional singing.

Light Thieves then rocked a sound that might have been too big for the stage with music that could be described as spacey and psychedelic but no doubt will make you dance. Which the audience did and then demanded more. Both bands were coming to the end of their own respected tours but showed no signs of road fatigue.
