PREVIEW: The Soft White Sixties @ Brick & Mortar Music Hall, SF 5/19/12

In anticipation of their first-ever U.S. tour, The Soft White Sixties are turning up the wattage at Brick & Mortar this Saturday, May 19th.
Since the formation of The Soft White Sixties a few years ago after drummer Joey Bustos heard vocalist Octavio Genera singing at a house party in the Lower Haight, the band has been busy recording and releasing an EP, touring the Northern Cali festival circuit as well as SXSW, and creating a soon-to-be-released documentary of their December 2011 West Coast tour. In preparation for their upcoming U.S. headlining tour and just to kick out some jams for their hometown fans, The Soft White Sixties are playing a gig this Saturday, May 19th at Brick & Mortar Music Hall in San Francisco.

So, take a trip back to a land where the words “hair” and “band” still intermingle, but the ’60s soul train has not left the tracks. The Soft White Sixties will be there with their R&B grooves wrapped around rockin’ guitars, keyboards and harmonious vocals. and take the ride with The Soft White Sixties at Brick & Mortar Music Hall this Saturday, May 19th.
