HEAR THIS: The Just Joans
Quirky London label Weepop! are chock full of indie gems you’ve only just heard of or probably need to, like the up-and-coming Allo Darlin’ and our HEAR THIS band The Just Joans. Described as, “classic story telling from Lanarkshire, documenting the life of yer average Everyjoe,” the Scottish indie darlings are a sweet mix of twee and chamber pop. Think of that time period when The Apples in Stereo were giving off the same vibes as Of Montreal and vice versa, and within that Venn diagram lies The Just Joans.
The Just Joans are set to release their debut Buckfast Bottles in the Rain on vinyl (with a free CD) on April 16th. They’ve got a limited run of 500, so get yours before it’s too late!
