The Aussies pull out another from their treasure chest for the world to explore. This time it’s the four-piece music group, The Jezabels, fronted by Haley Mary. Her fragile yet powerful stylish beauty, physically and vocally, is spellbinding. Her full-bodied dramatic vocals sound very Kate Bush meets the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s. The Jezabels describe themselves as “intensindie” which captures their immense sound perfectly. This group definitely has a handle on the emotional and sophisticated take of indie rock! Their bass-less arrangement is comprised of Heather with her Conservatorium-trained piano playing and Sam’s sensitive rhythm guitar anchored by Nik’s refined and explosive drumming adding to the potency of this arrangement.
