Countless days of being on the road has led singer-songwriter Jeff Campbell to embrace uncertainty and change, themes which he skillfully incorporates into his songs. The indie musician has decided to kick things up a notch, going from the fully acoustic album Stop and Go, to a much more rock infused sound in his latest EP, In Spite of Everything. Opener “Save Me” sets the tone of the EP, yielding immediate attention with its driving beat and sense of urgency as Campbell pleads, “Save my neck for me just one more time.” In Spite of Everything manages to be edgy while still maintaining a wistful, folky quality about it.
