It seems like there’s always a new electronic artist/producer coming out of the woodwork every week, especially from London. What’s impressive is that they’ve all been quality music, and Daniel Woolhouse (a.k.a. Deptford Goth) is no exception. His anticipated debut album Life After Defo blends R&B song structures and dreamy ambience over a bed of electronic and house beats akin to fellow Londoner James Blake.

Single “Union” highlights

the album’s strengths: subtle production values are paired with highly emotive lyrics. On this track, Woolhouse croons about being disconnected from existing relationships in poetic fashion. Deptford Goth is truly worth a listen if you love electronic music with introspective lyrics that deeply explore human relationships.
