Clinical Trials is an electro-grunge duo that channels badass frontwomen of the past without sounding like a throwback act. Singer/guitarist Somer Bingham is armed with plenty of distortion and an engaging bad-girl snarl that she puts to great use on big, gritty hooks. I instantly fell in love with their song “Polly Got Away,” which opens with a catchy synthesizer riff and delivers a super-rocking chorus with the lyrics “Come on let your feelings in/Come on let your feelings in/Open up your inside just for a little while.” Download their EP In the Wake of the Digital Afterlife for FREE below.
