You could see it in Jordan Cook‘s eyes, sizing up the upper balcony at The Troubadour, something scheming in his brain. Cook is not the first musician to scale the balcony at the legendary venue in Los Angeles. He is, however, certainly the first to haul his amp up there, playing closing song “Neighbors” while precariously straddling the rail with his guitar.
From right here in California, The Futures League put everything into their opening set and were able to hold their own as the warm-up act, with a seamless blend of psychedelic blues and little bit of punk mixed in.
It was a raucous affair, altogether only lasting eleven songs including encore. Reignwolf, now existing as a three-piece, left no inch of the venue unscathed. Enigmatic frontman Jordan Cook couldn’t help but to get intimate with the crowd, bringing his kick drum smack in the middle of the floor and belting out “Bicycle” while perched on top.
