This is Simian Mobile Disco’s 3rd studio album, the first two being very much high energy dance, but they have opted for a more toned down version this time. Simian Mobile Disco are the electronic music duo and production team from London, formed in 2005. Opening with an electro heart beat, the smooth gentle dance puts you in the mood. Track 1, “I Waited For You” is all class and all style — classic minimum electro. In fact the opening 4 tracks had us ready for the takeoff, but it never really gets there in this album.

This is definitely a background album with high possibility of it being awesome live, which they are renowned for.

Track 3, “Seraphim” is our pick off this album, tender and sexy. “Interference” has the classic dance builds, but doesn’t really quite get there. SMD have been a little self-indulgent here, as it all gets a little repetitive. Not our favorite from the duo, but we’re excited to see where this takes them next time around.
