PICTURE THIS: Other Lives @ GAMH, SF 10/30/12

For an hour Other Lives moved the Great American Music Hall from San Francisco to somewhere out in the great plains. Their stage set up was a little different this time around with a dozen bare light bulbs on stands spread around the stage. –sometimes dim, sometimes intensely bright. At times it was the only light in the building strobing out from the stage filling the GAMH with light. It was strange to see the light coming from the stage and light up the 1900s architecture of the hall, and a bit surreal to say the least. Other Lives covered songs from their full length release Tamer Animals and their new EP Mind The Gap.

The first song of their encore was Jesse Tabish siting at the piano singing the song “Black Tables” by himself. After all the orchestration of their other songs it stood out with the simplicity. Go check out our review of their new EP Mind the Gap here.
