TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 6/9/2022 Edition

Welcome back to Tracks of the Week, aiming for the stars with Martha’s “Please Don’t Take Me Back”, the brand new single from the pride of Durham, UK. On vinyl, the physical 7” is available to pre-order now from Specialist Subject (UK) or Green Noise Records (US). It’s mild understatement to say we’ve been champing at the bit for a taste of the new Hazy Sour Cherry LP, now our patience has been rewarded with the title track. Strange World is due out 6/15 on Damnably.

Moving on to LA, we’re blessed with the double shot of “Trouble & Desire”/“Womb 2 Wound” from the vital post-punk outfit Agender. Fronted by Australian transplant Romy Hoffman, their sophomore LP No Nostalgia takes no prisoners; it’s out now on Climax! Finishing up the week on the opposite coast, specifically North Haven, Maine, Bait Bag’s “The Pattern” single was a Nest favorite, and now they’re back with “Cramp Couch”. It’s the first single from the trio’s debut full-length Confident, Sloppy, and Loud, due out 7/8.
