The current incarnation of Jen Weisberg’s project Hits is back with new LP Cielo Nublado, out now on Paisley Shirt Records. The Oakland trio lights it up with lead cut “Static Drizz”.
Black Country, New Road made a sizable impact with their debut For The First Time. “Chaos Space Marine” is the first taste of their follow up LP Ants From Up There, out 2/4 on Ninja Tune.
Closing out this week, LA-based Katie Iannitello hangs out her shingle as Beauty Queen. Her latest single “Hope It’s You” matches her relentless bedroom pop to a video that spins budget limitations into comic gold. Her new EP Real Life comes out 11/5 on Sleep Well Records.
