Bottom of the Hill1233 17th St. San Francisco, CA 94107 415-621-4455
Rolling Stone called Bottom of the Hill the best place in San Francisco to see live music. This place is gritty like your stoner older brother’s bedroom, complete with Christmas string lighting and a disco ball. Get a burger, get a drink, and see amazing acts like The Gossip or up and comers from down under Wolfmother. Punk, metal, funk, pop: it’s all there. This venue is 21 and up unless stated otherwise (they do have quite a few all ages shows), and smoker friendly for those who need to duck out to the patio to feed the habit. The casual vibe of Bottom of the Hill connects musicians to fans in an intimate fashion, like your best friend telling you that they've loved you for years. It's too bad that a fire closed down the studio here in 2003, because good things happen at Bottom of the Hill.
