Radiohead stepped out of the studio last night long enough to appear at L.A.’s The Music Box so the band could perform at a Haiti benefit show, with all of the proceeds going to Oxfam. Lead singer Thom Yorke was even shocked when he announced that the show raised more than $500K.
Quincy Jones has done it again, but this time it’s for Haiti. The mega-producer has reached out to nearly 100 musicians to re-record the hit song “We Are the World” to benefit the Haiti Relief Fund. The song, which was recorded in 1985, originally raised $30 million for African humanitarian programs.
